Rufforth Tennis Club was founded in 1993.

Starting out with two hard courts and a single team in the York Mixed Tennis League, Rufforth now proudly possesses three teams playing tennis in the forth, seventh and ninth mixed divisions; three ladies’ teams which play in the first, third and seventh divisions of the Fulford Ladies Invitation League; and two teams which endure the harsh cold of the Wetherby Winter League.

A third court was added in 2004. The courts were resurfaced in 2014.

Club nights are held each and every Monday and Thursday evening, from 6pm. Floodlights provide the ability to play tennis year-round. The adjacent clubhouse offers toilets, changing, and cooking facilities.
